Hollie Wieland is Contributing Author to The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Employment Law
Hollie Wieland's chapter on the Family and Medical Leave Act was recently published in The Practitioner's Guide to Colorado Employment Law, a treatise published by Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. Fen-Phen
The 7th Amendment to the AHP (Wyeth) Trust will be wrapping up their final disbursements soon, as it must exhaust those monies still in the trust as a condition of the terms of the Amendment. What each claimant will receive will depend on the number of "points" assiged by the Trust to each case. We will be able to update this further as the Trust notifies us of the payout and the timing of the payout.
For Potential Surgery Claims:
It is important that any of our FenPhen clients who feel they need surgery contact us immediately to discuss their condition and any additional potential remedies they may have through the Trusts or otherwise.
The deadline for making a claim for an intermediate OPT OUT claimant (anyone who opted out of the green form or the 7th Amendment) who has had valve replacement surgery is March 31, 2010. This means the surgery must be actually performed before that date.
Surgery claimants under the 7th Amendment (gray form or green form claimants) have a deadline of December 31, 2011 (or 15 years from your last FenPhen prescription) whichever is earlier. The surgery must be completed before one of these dates, whichever applies.
Victoria Swanson Updates Publications
Three legal handbooks are currently in publication authored, or edited, by Victoria Swanson: Colorado Evidence Handbook (Bradford Publishing Co. www.bradfordpublishing.com) , Colorado Auto Litigator’s Handbook (Colorado Trial Lawyers Assn. www.ctlanet.org ), and Colorado Courtroom Handbook for Civil Trials, 2nd Edition (Continuing Legal Education in Colorado, Inc. www.cobar.org/cle ). The handbooks are updated annually or bi-annually by Ms. Swanson, when the law significantly changes in any of the areas.
Lance Sears and Victoria Swanson “Super Lawyers”
Both Lance Sears and Victoria Swanson are “Super Lawyers” in Colorado. Victoria Swanson has been on the Super Lawyer list since 2006 and Lance Sears has been on the list since 2007. Attorneys in each state are named through peer nominations, a blue ribbon panel review and by independent research of candidates.
